There’s a myth that porridge makes you grow a pot belly which is entirely false. Porridge is actually high in fiber which is good for weight loss.
Here is a quick and easy recipe you can whip up in the morning that will keep you full and help burn fat.
Banana, Flax Seed Porridge
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons (30grams) millet/ sorghum flour
1 1/2 medium banana (ripe)
1 teaspoon flax seeds
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Method
In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork till it becomes a paste. Set aside.
In a cup, mix the millet/ sorghum flour with water. ( I prefer Famila sour Porridge)
Pour the mixture into a cooking pan and stir till it boils.
Add the banana and mix. Leave to boil for 3 minutes.
Add the flax seed and honey and leave to boil for 2 minutes.
Serve in a bow while hot.
